In the fall of 2019, Anne Troake and Christopher House each had a three-day Technical Residency at the LSPU Hall, with full access to venue staff and inventory. On the third day of each residency, there was a public showing followed by an animated discussion.
These presentations were rolled into the Festival of New Dance, and the project then travelled to Toronto where the works were shared with audiences at the Winchester Street Theatre. Including the performance phase of Navigating Home at the festival was an incredible way to bring closure to an amazing regional initiative. It also meant that a number of project participants could stick around for the main festival events to take part in mixed programmed evenings as well as a community roundtable facilitated by Lois Brown.
