Call for NL Artists

FND 2019

There is something unique about growing up on an island, the isolation, the landscape, and the connections formed. NDW is looking for artists who were born in Newfoundland and Labrador to participate in a curated performance series during the 2019 Festival of New Dance (October 7-12, 2019).

This call is open to any and all interdisciplinary and performance artists with NL roots.

This performance series curated by Calla Lachance, Tina Fushell, and Lois Brown will consist of two-nights of mixed programming on the mainstage of the Festival of New Dance. We will also accept proposals for offsite programming surrounding the LSPU Hall as well as downtown St. John's. Applicants should apply with a venue/ location in mind. Please note that tech time and support is limited.

-All works must be 20 minutes or less (works over 20 mins will not be considered)

-All performances must be stage ready, including technical design and paperwork

-Applicants are expected to supply their own technician and/or stage manager to run their show

The application fee is $35. If you previously applied to FND 2019, the fee is waved for this application.
