Description: In this workshop, Stamos will share movement exercises, principles, prompts, and creative games for spontaneous dancing that build skills and abilities for movers of all levels. The class will begin with a warm-up that stimulates the senses, connecting imagination with sensations of skin, muscle, and bone, and focusing on the power of the gaze as a generator of movement. Through playful examination of objects and dancing together, participants will practice solo and group explorations, refine their attention to detail, make choices and tune the vibrancy of their presence and gestures. Being and Seeing offers a focused, fun, and individualized approach to dancing, encouraging participants to explore the boundaries of their movement as they sweat, expand their vision, and breathe in a supportive environment.
